South-Western Career Academy Adult Training Hub
The South-Western City School District continues to offer community adult training courses at no cost to participants! All courses will be based at the South-Western Career Academy. The goal for all of our adult programming is to provide the participants with the instruction, experiences, and skills needed to enter these in-demand career fields. Priority is given to applicants that are unemployed, underemployed, and those that plan to enter these fields as a profession. The students in each course will receive a certificate upon completion, outlining the skills mastered throughout the course.
Beginning in January, we will be offering Introduction to Automotive Maintenance and Electrical Concepts. Information night for these winter courses will be held on Wednesday, January 10th at 5:00pm. The courses will run for approximately 10 weeks. All classes are held in the evening beginning at 5pm, typically on Mondays and Wednesdays.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Priority registration is based on a first come first come, first served basis, enrollment is limited.
The availability to attend all class sessions is required
Courses must meet a minimum enrollment in order to be offered
During each session, business partners will be invited in to discuss career opportunities and employment.
Registrants will be notified of the date and time for an information meeting prior to the beginning of each session.
