SWCA Chromebook Expectations

Even though this is a district-owned device, students will be using this Chromebook while they are enrolled at SWCSD.  Please take care of your Chromebook!

Students may NOT have the opportunity to charge devices at school. Devices are to be brought to school, each day, fully charged to 100%.  We do not have extra chargers for you to charge the Chromebook if students do not bring the device charged at school. 

Loaners 

• If any damages occur to your Chromebook, charges may be added to your fees and a loaner will be issued to you while yours is getting repaired.  Once completed and returned to the school, students are responsible for returning the loaner to get your original Chromebook back. 

You will be charged for a damaged or a lost Chromebook or Chromebook chargers.  

When moving the Chromebook, always keep the lid closed and use both hands to hold it.  NEVER pick it up or hold it by the screen.  This oftens leads to cracked screens for the device - students will be charged for cracked screens. 

All repairs must be completed by the SWCSD Technology Department. Attempting to repair the device or taking it elsewhere could result in intentional damage fines.

Keep all foods and liquids away from the Chromebook.  The chromebook is your responsibility and any damages that may occur related to liquids or foods.  

Stickers should not be placed anywhere on the device or case

Do not remove the Chromebook from its case if your Chromebook has a case.

Keep all keys, serial numbers, and logos of the device intact. If removed, this will be considered intentional damage which may result in charges.
